High School Lullaby is part buddy film, part coming-of-age story, and completely rock 'n roll. It tells the story of Hayley, a high school junior who seemingly has it all: a solid group of friends, a kickass garage/pop-punk band, and a looming Battle of the Bands that grants the winner a free studio session to cut a demo...until her parents tell her that they have to move in less than two weeks!

So how do you tell your best friends, who also happen to be your bandmates, that not only does the band have an expiration date but also that you're leaving everything you've ever known from childhood to adolescence? How do you think Hayley does it?

it's All about the music

Let's be honest, you can't make an emo movie without emo music. You just can't. So that's exactly what we did. And no offense to Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, My Chemical Romance and other bands that made the Emo Era what it was...but you don't need our meager money. But the neighborhoods are stacked with bands that have the attitude and sound that High School Lullaby is looking for. So that's also exactly what we did.

Thanks to the Instagram account @unsignedpoppunk, and knowing we'd be filming in Maryland, we found two incredible local bands whose sound is going to bring High School Lullaby to life: Heartbent and The Last Second Save.
